Wild for Wall Coverings

Aug 5, 2019

Designers dive into the hottest trend on 4 walls…
and ceilings.

If there’s one design idea we have always embraced (and is hotter than ever) is that wall coverings can be a beginning, middle, and end for any project! This Summer was no exception.

As we enjoyed breezy beach blankets and quiet countryside cottages, we were fortunate to attend some of the hottest design events of the season. The Hamptons were rich in design with two show houses to visit, leaving us inspired and ready to get back to work! The Hamptons Designer Showhouse sponsored by Traditional Home Magazine benefitting Stoney Brook Southampton Hospital and the Holiday House Hamptons, sponsored by Hamptons Cottages & Garden’s benefitting The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Large scale murals, textured naturals, tropical tones, and blingy metallics ruled the day. Whether it’s a focal point or a textured backdrop, wallcoverings are here to stay!

One of our favorites, a soothing natural with sedimentary-like layers, was a standout by Thibaut in Chad Dorsey’s space.

We also loved the punchy, vibrant color from Alexa Hampton for Theodore Alexander.
