Community Involvement

With an abundance of gratitude for all that we have been given, we actively seek out opportunities to help those who are not yet in a position to practice their gifts as freely as we are. Our philanthropic goals are focused on those underserved communities who need hope, acceptance and encouragement. If you would like to learn how to join us in lifting those in need, please reach out to us.

Here are a few organizations that we support and are important to our team and community:

2011 DESIGNERS’ SHOW HOUSE AT SEVEN OAKS — GREENWICH

For me, the perfect guest room enables guests to be completely self sufficient. They should have a peaceful, comfortable place to sit and read, have a drink, enjoy a conversation. At the end of the day, I want them to look forward to climbing into a bed with the best sheets, pillows, and blankets I can find. In addition to being beautiful extensions of your home, guest rooms also must be able to take a beating: company is not always careful! For this room I was inspired by the beautiful hand painted silk pillows from Dransfield and Ross. I combined bedding from Yves Delorme with pieces from Matouk, and a custom headboard made with a durable mohair fabric from Castel. Comfortably upholstered chairs from Donghia pair with a custom sofa and ottoman. And what would the perfect guest bedroom be without a guest bed for the dog?

My deepest thanks go to the many wonderful people who donated their time and materials to me in support of my efforts for the Humane Society. Cathy Poses, from Eva’s Decorating , Kenise Barnes from the Kenise Barnes Fine Art Gallery, Mike Dinoia Plumbing, Best Plumbing Tile and Stone, Louis Katz from LJK Wallcovering, APerfect Goldman Electric, and The Painted Otter Tile Refinishers.

2011 PINK CHAIR EVENT

The chair I donated, is one of a pair of antique Spanish Hall chairs from the early 1900’s. I purchased them from Chatsworth Antiques, in Mamaroneck, NY. The fabric is a tone on tone geometric pattern from Romo, called Fraser, in Raspberry. Many thanks to Jessica Mckeever and the CEO of Romo, who kindly donated the fabric in support of this wonderful cause. The double welting is by Samuel & Sons. Eva’s Decorating did a beautiful job on the reupholstery, replacing the original horsehair with new padding and fill. I’ve always loved the workmanship and detailing found in old furniture, and knew I wanted something with character for this auction. I love pairing the great shape of antiques with contemporary fabrics!

2011 RED CROSS RED + WHITE BALL

The comfort and support the Red Cross brings to all they help inspired me to decorate this table in deep tones of red, purple, fuchsia and gray. These colors symbolize strength and courage which is exactly what the Red Cross stands for. I put Red Cross Lanterns and crystal globes on the table to bring light to the event as the Red Cross brings light to the world in times of darkness.
